The month of May brought the completion of Jerry's latest Kestrel.  This Kestrel can be found on top of a pine branch where he can view and see far and wide.  The broken top allows the bird to perch with a nice complement of pine needles framing him in.

American Kestrel Male               Life-sized                                    Tupelo Wood / Acrylic Paint         19"h x 15"w x 10"d                      SOLD                                                                                         The pine branch was created from Tupelo Wood, Brazing Rod, Brass rods (for the pine needles) and painted using Acrylic paint.  The pedestal is made from Butternut, Tupelo  (black spacer), and Cherry wood.  The pine branch has approximately 75 needle groups of three (~225 individual needles), approximately 25 per branch segment.
