Currently available sculptures are highlighted on this page along with a sampling showing Jerry's range of bird sculptures he has created. These sculptures have the highest level of detail and realism carved and painted into them. Even the habitat is created to look like the real thing.

"Northern Saw-whet Owl" Northern Saw-whet Owl, Life-size, full detail Tupelo wood / Acrylic paint 14"H x 10"W x 10"D $8,000.00 39th Annual Ward World Championships 2009 1st Birds of Prey 3rd Best of Show Western Heritage Art Show 2010 Best Carving Peoples Choice The main branch was sculpted from Tupelo wood. The smaller branches were a combination of brazing rod and epoxy. The pine needles were made from brass rods. All of which was then painted with Acrylic paint. Photo by Bill Bachhuber.

"Golden Summer" Pair of American Goldfinches with a setting of Purple Coneflowers. Life-size, full detail Tupelo wood / Acrylic paint 16"H x 8"W x 6"D $5,800.00 These birds were carved and painted with the highest level of detail to resemble the live birds. The Purple Coneflowers were created from brazing rod for the stems, brass foil for the leaves and petals, and Tupelo Wood for the bloom heads. The flowers were then painted with Acrylic paint. "American Kestrel Male" Life-size Tupelo wood / Acrylic paint 19"h x 15"w x 10"d SOLD Pine branch is made from Tupelo wood, Brazing rod, Brass rod (for pine needles) and Acrylic paint. There is approximately 75 total pine needle groups of three (225 individual needles).

"Spring Arrival" American Robin in a Holly bush Life-size Tupelo wood / Acrylic paint 21"H x 11"W x 12"D SOLD The holly was made from brazing rod, brass foil and then painted with Acrylic paint. This sculpture received "Best in Show", "Audubon Award", and "Peoples Choice Award" during the 2005 Columbia Flyway Wildfowl Show. Currently in the private collection of Richard & Judy Caldwell.
"Rivers Edge" Western Tanagers in River Willow Life-size Tupelo wood / Acrylic paint 18"H x 14"W x 9"D SOLD The Willow branch was created using brazing rod for the stems while the leaves where created from brass foil and welded to the stems. The Willow branch was then painted using Acrylic paint. This sculpture is in the private collection of Sandy Moore.
Mandarin Drake Head, Life-size Tupelo wood / Acrylic paint 10"H x 5"W x 5"D SOLD This duck head was sculpted with the highest level of detail to resemble the live bird. The pedestal is made from Black Walnut. This bird won the notable "2007 Gary Hendriksen Duck Head Purchase Award" at the recent "2007 Columbia Flyway Show" in Vancouver WA in September.
